Luthercare is accepting applications from local high school seniors for its 2022 Nursing Scholarship Program. Students who are in their senior year at a public high school in Lancaster and Lebanon counties are eligible, and candidates must be planning to enter the nursing field. One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded per school. Applicants are required to complete an application and write an essay of 750 words maximum describing why they should receive the scholarship and why they are interested in the field of nursing. Applicants must also submit two letters of recommendation: one from a teacher, coach, or mentor and one from a community member.
The application can be found by visiting http://www.luthercare.org and clicking "News" at the bottom of the page. Applications will be accepted through Monday, May 2. All materials should be submitted to Jodi Weaver, Luthercare's assistant vice president of human resources, at jweaver@luthercare.org.
Last year, Luthercare awarded $1,000 scholarships to 10 students. Scholarships are made possible by donors to Luthercare's Nursing Scholarship Fund.
