The musical focuses on Amelie Poulain, a young waitress who makes it her mission to bring joy to the people around her, helping them to find hope, love, and even closure. In the process, Amelie finds her voice, discovers the power of connection, and sees possibility around every corner.
Open Stage's production is directed by Stuart Landon, artistic director of Open Stage, with music direction by Nicholas Werner and choreography by Kelly Strange. The cast of local performers includes Gabriella DeCarli as Amelie, Brad Barkdoll as Nino Quincampoix, Alexis Campbell as Georgette Cornuel/Sylvie, Robert Campbell as Raphael Poulain/Adrien Wells, Rosemary Campbell as Young Amelie, TJ Creedon as Hipolito/Elton John/Gnome, Bryden McCurdy as Suzanne, Joe Osborne as Dufayel/Collignon, Cynthia Wells as Amandine Poulain/Philomene, Nicholas Werner as Bretodeau, Stacey Werner as Gina, and David Ramon Zayas as Joseph/Fluffy/Lucien/Collignon's Father.
