Michael Oster, director of client services for Paul Davis of Central Pennsylvania, has been named executive chairman for the Light the Night fundraising campaign benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) in Lancaster and York. According to Oster, Light the Night is a series of nationwide fundraising campaigns benefiting LLS research to find blood cancer cures and ensure access to treatments for all blood cancer patients.
From April 1 through June 30, a COVID-19 patient financial aid program was available with LLS funding, which benefited more than 19,000 patients by providing $4.8 million in assistance, including $42,000 for individuals and families in central Pennsylvania. This was in addition to existing financial support programs already offered to families through LLS. The deadline for donations to this year's campaign is at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22.
