The Susquehanna Heritage Paddle Experience will take place on Saturday, Sept. 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Guided by Susquehanna National Heritage Area staff, participants will paddle from Columbia Crossing, 41 Walnut St., Columbia, to the Zimmerman Center for Heritage to learn about the Susquehanna River's history and ecology and to explore the Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail. Light refreshments will be provided at the tour's end.
Participants ages 12 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult. The per-person fee includes the use of a kayak, paddle, and personal flotation device; transportation; and the tour. Single or tandem kayak options are available. Personal kayaks are not permitted.
