The seventh annual Parents' Drop and Swap will take place on Saturday, June 12, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Freedom Path Church, 21 S. 12th St., Akron. Interested participants must sign up for a time to drop items off prior to the swap. Then on June 12, they will be able to collect a similar number of items to the total items they dropped off.
Acceptable items include all seasons of children's and women's clothing, toys, accessories, books, baby items, DVDs, shoes, and unused items such as lotions and perfume. Items that will not be accepted are furniture, heavy items, underwear, stained or torn items, housewares, or VHS tapes.
Visitors must wear masks and practice social distancing during the event. Parents are asked to not bring children to the event if at all possible.
The event is open to the public. Items must be dropped off before the event. To register for a drop-off time, visit http://www.facebook.com/happyhaplanc and click on the SignUpGenius link in the pinned post at the top of the page.
