Bruce Parthemore was installed as the 2019-20 secretary-treasurer of the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association (PFDA) at the group's 2019 convention in Pocono Manor. Organized in 1881, PFDA is one of the largest state funeral director associations in the nation.
Parthemore is a licensed funeral director and certified preplanning consultant. He attended West Virginia University and the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and holds a Pennsylvania insurance license in life, annuities, accident, and health.
In addition to PFDA, Parthemore is a member of Capital City Funeral Directors Association, NFDA, and OGR. Along with being active in his church, he is a member of the Harrisburg Kiwanis Club, the New Cumberland Olde Town Association, Caring Hearts Pet Therapy, and Alliance of Therapy Dogs. Parthemore and his certified therapy dogs, Jasper and Maggie, visit the Penn State Children's Hospital weekly. Parthemore is married and has two adult children and a grandson.
