In honor of its 250th anniversary, St. Paul's United Church of Christ (UCC) in Manheim will present Piercing Word's "Passion: The Musical" on Sunday, March 31, at 9:30 a.m. Everyone is invited to the show, which will be a Scriptural retelling of Jesus' journey to the cross.
"This is a powerful presentation of the Gospel and how Jesus fulfills everything written about him in the Old Testament," said Caleb Hughes, artistic director of Piercing Word. "We've framed the piece with a modern-day, urban concept that offers a compelling perspective on the last supper, trial, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus."
St. Paul's UCC is located at 50 N. Main St., Manheim. Free parking is available in the rear of the church, and the church is handicapped-accessible.
On Easter Sunday, April 21, St. Paul's UCC will offer two opportunities to worship. At 8:30 a.m., worship will be held in the Memorial Garden. A worship service will then be held at 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary.
