York County Sheriff's Office will host Refuse to Be a Victim, a crime prevention and personal safety seminar, on Saturday, April 4, from noon to 4 p.m. The class will be offered at the Appell Center, 50 N. George St., York.
Attendees will learn how to create layers of safety in their life to protect themselves and their family. Attendees will get the tools to develop their own personal safety strategies, including information on the psychology of the criminal mind, mental preparedness, home and phone security, automobile and travel security, and personal and technological security.
Preregistration is required and limited to the first 100 individuals. All registrants will receive a student handbook, supplement safety booklet, information brochure, and certificate of attendance.
