Post 429 Charters Riders Chapter

Ephrata American Legion Post 429 hosts a large Biker Breakfast on the first Sunday of each month from April to October. However, Post 429 has never had its own American Legion Riders chapter.

In December 2018, the state issued the official charter to Post 429 so it could start its own American Legion Riders chapter. On March 21, the officers were officially installed. The American Legion Riders meet the first Sunday of every month at 12:30 p.m., and the group has a tent at the Biker Breakfasts. The Biker Breakfasts will continue to run this year every first Sunday through October.

The Legion Riders have been assisting the Sons of the American Legion in renovating the former Rainbow Room at the American Legion, which will allow for a pool table, darts, a shuffle alley, and a stage area in the downstairs area. The plan is for this to be finished and staffed by sometime this summer so the hours of operation can be adjusted.

Visitors are welcome to stop by the Ephrata American Legion, 300 Cocalico St., Ephrata. For more information, readers may visit Facebook and search for "American Legion Post 429" or "Ephrata American Legion Riders Post 429."
