Trinity UCC Preschool, 200 E. Market St., Hallam, has begun accepting registrations for the 2021-22 school year. The school offers various programs tailored to meet the needs of 2- through 5-year-old students.
Terrific Twos is open to 2-year-olds and a caregiver. The meeting space will be available at 9 a.m. on class dates for open play and fellowship. A teacher-led class from 9:30 to 11 a.m. will include discovery and learning stations, music and movement, crafts and snack time. Adults may stay and play with their child, remain on the premises or leave the building.
Three-year-olds will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays for circle time, small group instruction and play. This program focuses on social development, early literacy skills, number development and more. Morning and afternoon sessions will be available.
Kindergarten Readiness for 4-year-olds will meet on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The focus will be on developing skills in reading, math and other subjects. The program's goals are aligned with the Eastern York School District (EYSD) curriculum. Both morning and afternoon classes will be held.
The prekindergarten program is designed for students who do not meet the age eligibility requirements for kindergarten, who would benefit from an additional year of preschool or who are looking for a more intensive five-day program. This program utilizes the Starfall curriculum for language arts and reading development as well as the Math Counts program, which aligns with the math curriculum of EYSD. Prekindergarten will meet on Mondays through Fridays from 9:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
An extended day/lunch bunch program will be offered two days a week from October to April. After eating a lunch brought from home, students will take part in themed enrichment activities.
