Trinity United Church of Christ Preschool, 200 E. Market St., Hallam, will host an open house on Sunday, Feb. 24, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interested families are invited to visit the classrooms, meet the staff, and discuss the programs and curriculum of the school. The preschool strives to provide a safe, secure learning environment where creativity is encouraged, a progressive curriculum is taught, and each child is recognized as one of God's children.
Tuesdays with Twos is an opportunity for caregivers and children to play, learn and grow. The meeting space is open to attendees and an adult beginning at 9 a.m. on class dates for open play and fellowship.
Three-year-old students meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They learn during circle time, at tables during small group instruction and during thoughtful play.
Kindergarten readiness is the priority for the 4-year-olds who meet on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Students gain a basic understanding of core content areas, and both morning and afternoon classes are held.
The prekindergarten program is designed to meet the needs of students who do not meet the age eligibility requirements for kindergarten, who would benefit from an additional year of preschool, or whose families are looking for a more intensive five-day program. Also, an extended-day/Lunch Bunch program is offered two days per week from October to April.
