The eighth annual Lancaster Printers Fair and Wayzgoose will take place on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 17 and 18, at the Ken Kulakowsky Center for Letterpress and Book Arts on the Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology's Campus on Orange, 117 Parkside Ave., Lancaster. Hours are 5 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 17 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 18.
The event will feature demonstrations, activities for both letterpress printers and the public, and vendors selling printing equipment, type, supplies, and letterpress-printed items. On display will be tabletop and floor-model presses, a Ludlow, and a Linotype, which will all be available to users once the center is open for classes and studio use.
Volunteers are needed on Wednesday, Sept. 15, from 6 to 9 p.m.; Thursday, Sept. 16, from 6 to 9 p.m.; Sept. 17 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Sept. 18 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Volunteers are not expected to help the entire time, but they are asked to give as much time as they are able. This event is intended to be a major fundraiser for the Heritage Press Museum and the Ken Kulakowsky Center for Letterpress and Book Arts.
