Program Receives Donation

Lancaster Sunrise Rotary Club recently donated $7,000 to the Anchorage Breakfast Program. Anchorage provides no-cost, buffet-style meals five days a week, 52 weeks a year to people facing homelessness in Lancaster who are low-income and food insecure. The program currently serves between 150 and 200 guests daily.

The Anchorage Program adheres to the COVID-19 social distancing guidelines as it continues to provide bagged breakfast meals for all of its guests.

Several key fundraisers for the year have been canceled, creating an immediate financial need. Last year, Anchorage served a total of 44,606 meals.

The Lancaster Sunrise Rotary Club currently meets on Thursdays from 7:45 to 8:30 a.m. via video conferencing. For an invitation, readers may email Rotary president Jeni Roberts at jenirinpa@gmail.com. New members are always welcome.
