The Maytown Historical Society (MHS) will hold its monthly meeting at the East Donegal Township Building, 190 Rock Point Road, Maytown, on Tuesday, Feb. 12. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a program presented by Gregory J. Scott, FAIA, a well-known Lancaster architect. The program and refreshments will be followed by the regular business meeting.
The program, "Early American Lancaster County Architecture: The First One Hundred Years: 1710-1810," will explore Germanic, Traditional English, and Georgian architectural styles and will conclude with Maytown examples.
The next MHS-sponsored event will be a breakfast and bake sale on Saturday, March 16, from 7 to 10 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 11 N. Queen St., Maytown.
