The Historical Society of the Cocalico Valley will present "The History of Quilting," a program by the Hopewell Quilters, on Wednesday, May 22, at 7 p.m. at the Ephrata Public Library, 550 S. Reading Road.
The group is formed of volunteers who demonstrate quilting at Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site in Berks County and at other local sites. Representatives will speak about the history of quilting, as well as about modern techniques and equipment. They will also display their handiwork.
There will be no admission charge, and everyone interested is invited to attend. Reservations are not required. For more information, readers may contact the historical society at 717-733-1616.
