Elizabethtown Historical Society, 57 S. Poplar St., Elizabethtown, will host a program on Tuesday, April 16, at 7 p.m.
John Ziats and Jeannie Dunaway, of Middletown Historical Society, will present "Remembering the Nuclear Plant Accident 40 Years Later."
On March 28, 1979, a partial meltdown of a nuclear reactor occurred at Three Mile Island (TMI). The presentation will discuss the accident and its impact on Elizabethtown, located less than 10 miles from the facility. Attendees will be encouraged to reminisce and share their memories, photos and memorabilia related to the accident at TMI.
The public is invited. Refreshments will be served.
