Programs At Park Posted

Lancaster County Department of Parks and Recreation will offer programs to the community. Unless otherwise noted, there is a per-person fee for the programs, and activities will take place at the Environmental Center in Lancaster County Central Park, 1 Nature's Way, Lancaster. Aspiring ornithologist William Young will present a program on "Bird Life History" on Friday, Sept. 27, from 6 to 7 p.m. The program is open to individuals age 10 and older.

Botanizing: Tree ID will be offered to individuals age 14 and older on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 11 a.m. to noon. A naturalist will guide participants on a tree identification hike where they will learn how to identify the trees of Pennsylvania forests.

Munchkin Science: Spiders will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 1 to 2 p.m. The program, for children ages 3 to 5, will include a hunt for live spiders and up-close examination of contained spiders.
