Susquehanna Heritage has set its summer programs at Columbia Crossing River Trails Center, 41 Walnut St., Columbia.
Tadpole Time, Columbia Crossing's recurring program for children ages 2 to 5, is held on the second Wednesday of each month from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Children will experience the natural world along the river through nature-themed stories, songs, and activities that relate to different themes, such as fireflies, flowers, frogs, and bugs. There is a per-child fee, and registration is suggested.
Ranger Hour will be held every Tuesday from June 4 to Aug. 27 at 10 a.m. Curtis Sherwood, Samuel S. Lewis State Park's environmental educator, will lead the free weekly nature series, which is geared toward families and children with their caretakers. Attendees should meet on the deck at Columbia Crossing. People of all ages are welcome. Large groups are asked to call Columbia Crossing to make accommodations.
