Programs To Spotlight Reptiles, Pollinators

The Lititz Public Library, 651 Kissel Hill Road, will hold upcoming programs as part of the Summer Reading Program. Both programs are geared toward children age 5 and up.

"Rocketing Reptiles" with Jesse Rothacker and Forgotten Friend Reptile Sanctuary will be presented on Monday, June 24, at 6:30 p.m. Rothacker rescues and transports exotic animals and runs a sanctuary for them. He travels to schools, churches, and libraries in his Super Green Turtle Machine to present educational programs.

Jerry Schneider will present a program about pollinators on Wednesday, June 26, at 6:30 p.m. The program will highlight critters that help pollinate the world. The purpose of the program is to inspire everyone to pay more attention to butterflies, bees, bats, and other pollinators. Attendees should bring a white or light-colored T-shirt for a craft.

Both programs are free and open to the public. Preregistration is encouraged by calling the library at 717-626-2255 or by stopping by the library.
