Public Meeting Planned

Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn has announced the release of a preliminary report gleaned from results of an extensive two-year survey seeking public input on the future of Pennsylvania's state parks. In response, the Bureau of State Parks' website now features downloadable information detailing survey findings and includes a public comment tool to address recommendations suggested.

Also, in a continuing attempt to gain public feedback, Gifford Pinchot State Park will host a public meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 6 p.m. to discuss the findings of the prelimenary report. The meeting will be held in the basement conference room of the park office, located at 2200 Rosstown Road, Lewisberry.

Seeking additional information, meetings will be held at state parks throughout the state this fall and early next year. A final report is planned for the summer of 2020.
