Quaker Pastor Plans Visit

Otterbein United Methodist Church, 20 E. Clay St., Lancaster, will host a weekend of events with Philip Gulley, a storyteller, Quaker pastor, and author, on Saturday, Nov. 2, and Sunday, Nov. 3.

On Nov. 2, a free storytelling event will begin at 7 p.m. On Nov. 3, Gulley will speak at the 9:30 a.m. Sunday worship service, followed by a storytelling session at 10:45 a.m. with an optional catered lunch. Lunch will be available for a fee.

Gulley, from Indiana, is the author of 22 books and has performed at the Lititz Storytelling Festival. He discusses his progressive world in his theology books, including "The Evolution of Faith."

The public is invited to attend. Parking is available in the Christian Street lot behind the church and in the Lancaster County Council of Churches lot, 812 N. Queen St., behind Turkey Hill.
