The Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, 300 Gap Road, Strasburg, will offer additional open hours for children and community members with special sensory needs. During the sensory hours from 3 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 25, the museum will reduce lighting and sounds and maintain a low attendance.
During these hours, there will be quiet spaces for breaks set up in a few of the gallery areas. A few of the historic trains will be open, with museum staff present to answer questions.
Advance registration at http://www.eventbrite.com is required for all attendees. There is a cost for attendance. Admission is free for children age 2 and younger. Admission is also free for paid aides, which includes a personal assistant or a one-on-one aide, and for current members of the Friends of the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania.
