Governor Dick Environmental Center, 3283 Pinch Road, Mount Gretna, will offer two special events to the public. Preregistration is required by contacting governordick@hotmail.com or 717-964-3808 and leaving a name and phone number.
A Mindfulness Hike will be offered on Thursday, Aug. 15, at 3 p.m. for a nominal fee. A free Butterfly Walk will take place on Sunday, Aug. 18, at 1:30 p.m., and participants will learn about butterflies and their habitat needs.
