Lancaster Kennel Club (LKC), in collaboration with a local pet-focused magazine and East Hempfield Township, will present its annual Responsible Dog Ownership Day on Sunday, Sept. 19, at Amos Herr Park, 1700 Nissley Road, Landisville, during the 41st annual Amos Herr Community Festival. The group will be set up near the bocce courts, with its activities starting at 11 a.m. and concluding with Meet the Breeds, which will begin at 2 p.m.
People may meet LKC members and see the breeds they own. There will also be canine-related demonstrations, with participants including Mike Lombardo and his disc dog demo and the Lancaster County Sheriff's Department's K-9 Unit. The full schedule can be viewed at http://www.lancasterkennelclub.org.
