Restore Chester County Seeks Feedback

Restore Chester County, an initiative focused on reopening and restoring Chester County's quality of place impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, is asking county residents to indicate their willingness to participate in activities in the community over the summer and fall seasons. Through a five-minute survey, residents are asked to share what they believe is needed to ensure comfort in enjoying the restaurants, businesses, and events in Chester County.

Members of the Chester County commissioners' COVID-19 Business Task Force representing the county's municipalities; travel, hospitality and tourism sectors; nonprofits; and other community groups came together to review the current COVID-19 guidelines affecting summer and fall events. An important part of understanding what could impact plans for summer and fall events and support for restaurants and other businesses is the actual desire by residents to venture out and attend events, visit local restaurants, and shop local.

The survey is anonymous and includes 11 questions with multiple choice responses. The survey asks how likely an individual is to participate in eating outdoors or indoors at a restaurant, attend an outdoor or indoor community event, attend a sporting event, or shop at a small or large store. It also asks what safety measures may influence decisions to participate in an event.
