Young Thinkers of York's all-girls FIRST Lego League (FLL) robotics team, the RoboThinkers, competed against 49 other regional teams on Jan. 26 at the FLL East Regional Championship at Penn State Berks. The RoboThinkers won the third-place Champion's Award, meaning the team, which represents the city of York, is the No. 1 FLL robotics team in York County and the third best in the region.
The team has been invited to travel to Fayetteville, Ark., to compete in a national tournament featuring 75 U.S. and international teams from Thursday to Sunday, May 16 to 19. The event will provide opportunities for the RoboThinkers to meet, learn from, and compete against like-minded students from around the world while making new friends.
