Roering Posts Fundraiser For LLS

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) has nominated Mount Joy business owner Katie Roering for the 2021 Man & Woman of the Year Campaign. This initiative is a 10-week fundraising challenge for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and the money raised from this campaign will go toward creating a better future for children with blood cancer. The candidates who raise the most during the fundraising period, which began on March 26, will be named the Man and Woman of the Year.

Roering, founder of Fontana Candle Co., is the daughter of Francis "Chip" Errigo, who died unexpectedly in 2019 at the age of 64 from Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia, a rare form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Her goal is to raise $50,000 during the fundraising period so that her efforts can be linked to a research portfolio that would be named in memory of her father.

Donations can be made at https://pages.lls.org/mwoy/cpa/hbg21/kroering. Roering is also looking for corporate sponsorships and auction items. Interested businesses can reach Roering at info@fontanacandlecompany.com or by leaving a message at 717-344-1073.
