Lower Dauphin High School seniors Clara Breidenstine and Braden Landis were recently named Students of the Month for February by the Rotary Club of Hummelstown.
Clara is the daughter of Susan and Bill Breidenstine. She is a co-founder and the president of the school's Garden Club. She is three-year member of the German Language National Honor Society and the Volunteen Club, and she has served on a committee in Mini-THON for three years. Clara has participated in the spring musical for four years and has been a member of the cross-country team throughout high school. She is also a two-year member of the Science National Honor Society and the National Art Honor Society.
In the community, she is active with the Manada Conservancy. She plans to attend college to major in plant biology.
Braden is the son of Katie and Shawn Landis. He is a four-year member and captain of the football and boys' basketball teams and a four-year member of the baseball team. He also serves as a counselor in Lower Dauphin's Outdoor Education program.
In the community, he has volunteered with the Hummelstown Hunger Run, and he volunteers with youth football and youth basketball and baseball camps.
He plans to attend college and is undecided on his major, but he wants to play a sport at the next level.
