Victoria Gehman will be featured on Survivor Voices, a Zoom interview series hosted by Safe Communities, on Tuesday, April 26, at 6:30 p.m. Linda Crockett, director of Safe Communities and a survivor of abuse, will interview Gehman about her experiences as a child welfare worker. Safe Communities is a nonprofit organization that specializes in abuse prevention and healing for survivors.
Gehman has a Bachelor of Social Work with a minor in criminal justice. She is also the author of an anthology of poems, "Slow Your Pace, Hope a Little Longer." Like many survivors of child abuse, she experiences chronic pain and trauma-related mental health issues.
There is no cost to register for the event, but a donation to Safe Communities is encouraged. Registration is required at http://www.safecommunitiespa.org. Registrants will receive a Zoom link to the live event. A recording will be available after the event for a limited time to registrants only.
