Penn Manor School District school directors Carlton "Herk" Rintz and Ken Long were recently honored for their combined 28 years of service to the Penn Manor school board.
At the board's Sept. 3 meeting, Rintz was honored for 16 years of service, and Long was honored for 12 years of service to the all-volunteer board of school directors. Karen Devine of the Pennsylvania School Boards Association (PSBA) presented them with certificates of appreciation.
Since 1983, the PSBA has recognized school board members for serving for eight years or more.
