School Honors Recent Graduates

Lampeter-Strasburg High School has honored four 2019 graduates. Pioneer Superlatives for May are Katlyn Miller and Collin Rimmer, and Students of the Month for May are Christine Fritz and Kalen Nerys.

Katlyn is the daughter of Jesse and Michelle Miller of Strasburg. She was involved in the orchestra and pit orchestra, chorus, Pioneer Interact Club, and High School Heroes as well as the National Honor Society. She was on the honor roll. Outside of school, Katlyn volunteers in the community. She enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. Katlyn is undecided on a future career, but plans to do something that involves serving others.

Collin is the son of Scott and Elizabeth Rimmer of Lancaster. He was a member of the chess club and Technology Committee and was an honors graduate. Collin enjoys spending time with friends, going to the beach, and talking to friends online. He plans to attend West Chester University to study chemistry.

Christine is the daughter of Eric Fritz and Anita Reinert of Strasburg. In school she was active on the yearbook staff, stage crew, art club, marching band color guard, indoor color guard, concert choir, and the pop culture club. She was also the recipient of a VFW Young Artist Award and a member of the honor roll. Christine volunteered at school events, including musicals, concerts, and banquets. She enjoys hiking and reading, as well as art, such as painting, jewelry making, and ceramics. She plans to attend Bloomsburg University to study psychology, with the goal of working in art therapy.

Kalen resides with Jillian Nerys of Strasburg. He was the recipient of two senior awards: a Ryan "Whitey" Weitzel Award and the JLR Perseverance Award. He plans to enter the workforce.
