Martin Meylin Middle School has announced its Students of the Month and Teacher of the Month for February.
The Students of the Month were chosen by Martin Meylin creative arts teachers for embodying the trait of responsibility. The honorees, grade levels, and subjects for which they were honored are as follows: Kathryn Berry, eighth grade, family consumer science; Karli Brenneman, eighth grade, technology education; Dylan Funk, seventh grade, German; Emma Landis, seventh grade, Spanish; Brady Manning, sixth grade, art; Alexis Rohrer, eighth grade, health; Cayden See, sixth grade, fitness and wellness; Isabella Lewis, seventh grade, physical education; Van Dietrich, sixth grade, physical education; Abigail Stevens, sixth grade, music; Eric Doutrich, seventh grade, band; and Ryann Logan, sixth grade, orchestra.
The Teacher of the Month is Chuck Lambert, a sixth-grade social studies teacher. Lambert was selected by Martin Meylin Middle School faculty and staff for the honor. Lambert has been teaching at Lampeter-Strasburg for nearly three decades, 13 years at Hans Herr as a fifth-grade teacher and 16 years at Martin Meylin. He was recognized for continuing to be motivated by the new challenges that every day brings. In addition to teaching, he is the varsity softball scorekeeper and statistician and a former high school softball coach. Lambert is also a coordinator of the annual Martin Meylin Geography Bee.
