St. John Neumann Catholic School marked the first day in its new Education Center addition at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Lancaster after relocating from St. Anne School in downtown Lancaster.
Designed by Lancaster architectural firm Hammel Associates Architects LLC, the addition and renovations to the parish buildings were completed by Wohlsen. The project provided the Catholic education facility with nine additional classrooms, restrooms, and office support spaces. Upgrades to the west portion of the church building are designed to support the education facilities and increase security and accessibility.
Select renovations to the church continue and are scheduled for completion by the end of September. A special event to celebrate the project's completion is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 24.
