School PTO Plans Fundraiser Fair

The 52nd annual Conewago Country Fair and Silent Auction will take place on Saturday, Sept. 25, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine, at Conewago Elementary School, 2809 Hershey Road, Elizabethtown. The event is organized by the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), and proceeds will benefit the school's approximately 250 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The money raised will provide educational events such as class field trips and assemblies as well as additional instructional materials, including library books and classroom supplies.

At the event, food will be available through a concession stand, a bake sale, and Sweet Dawgs Soft Serve Frozen Desserts. There will be a Bountiful Bucks giveaway drawing, and Conewago faculty members will participate in races. Activities will include a petting zoo, children's games with prizes, and pumpkin and rock painting.

Visitors may see a Hershey fire truck and Life Lion ambulance, meet representatives of the Derry Township Police, and view K-9 demonstrations. Books on Board will also be represented.

A silent auction will be available at http://www.betterunite.com/ConewagoElementaryPTO from Sunday, Sept. 19, to Friday, Sept. 24, at 8 p.m. Winners may pick up their items at the fair between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Conewago Elementary the following week.
