Science Festival To Return

The Lancaster Science Factory, 454 New Holland Ave., Lancaster, has announced that the Science Is Amazing Festival will return on Sunday, April 10. Ticketed sessions will be offered from noon to 2:15 p.m. and from 2:45 to 5 p.m.

Activities will include a chemistry magic show presented by Eurofins Lancaster Labs, geology specimens and more from the North Museum, a Glo Germ healthy hands activity from UPMC for You, virtual welding with High Steel, Best of STEM demonstrations by Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania, and Scratch coding with Cargas Systems Inc. There will also be Matter Monsters with Science Explorers, a tangram activity with the Millersville University Mathematics and Educators Club, Marble Mazes with Elizabethtown College, and a wind tunnel and CNC demonstrations with Millersville University TEECA.

Attendees may solder a custom light-up pin, offered by make717, or create a tie-dye bandana with Pennsylvania College of Art & Design. Additionally, the Lancaster Barnstormers will share the science of ball grips, and mascot Cylo will be in attendance.
