SECA Sets Flower Sale

The Southern End Community Association (SECA), 299 Park Ave., Quarryville, will hold an SOS Flower Sale on Saturday, May 9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The "Save Our SECA" event is an effort to help the organization meet its ongoing financial obligations and is just in time for Mother's Day gift-giving.

Gardeners who have thinned their flower beds are asked to pop those extra perennials into pots for the sale. Garden center shoppers may contribute by buying an extra flat of flowers to donate to the cause. All plant donations may be dropped off at SECA on Friday, May 8, from 9 a.m. to noon or from 5 to 7 p.m.

Customers may buy the plants during the sale on May 9. The offerings will be organized according to their needs of sun or shade and will be color-coded for pricing. The sale will be set up in such a way that shoppers will be able to maintain social distancing, and masks must be worn according to state guidelines.
