A seminar to help local residents avoid scams and identity theft will take place on Monday, April 22, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the East Shore Area Library, 4501 Ethel St., Harrisburg. State Sen. John DiSanto will host the event.
The seminar will include information on how identities are stolen or compromised, what a person can do if their identity is stolen, and how to stop theft from occurring. The seminar will review common scams and frauds and discuss what to do if one is presented with a financial offer that seems too good to be true.
