Senior Center Posts Activities

Stewartstown Area Senior Center, 26 S. Main St., Stewartstown, has announced its upcoming schedule of activities. For more information, readers may call the center at 717-993-3488.

On Wednesday, June 5, Barb's aerobics class will meet in the Community Building at the fairgrounds. At the senior center, Mary Ellen will be available to assist anyone who would like to paint ceramics. Participants may request specific items to paint. Various table games and Wii games will be available throughout the day. A group will leave at 10:45 a.m. to see "Camelot" at a local theater. The bridge club will meet at noon; new members are welcome. Participants are also sought for games of 500.

On Thursday, June 6, Barb will lead her aerobics class in the Community Building at the fairgrounds. At the senior center, a nurse will be available to check weights and blood pressures. Kings in the Corner will be played at 9:30 a.m. Wii games will be available throughout the day. The yoga class will start at 10:30 a.m. The art class and the Hand and Foot group both meet at noon.

On Friday, June 7, Barb will lead her aerobics class in the Community Building at the fairgrounds. At the senior center, bocce ball will be played at 10:30 a.m. In preparation for the Belmont Stakes on Saturday, center members will race their horses after lunch.

On Monday, June 10, a group will eat breakfast at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant. Barb's aerobics class will meet in the Community Building at the fairgrounds. At the center, table and Wii games will be available throughout the day. The last drawing class for this session will begin at 1 p.m.

On Tuesday, June 11, aerobics will be held in the Community Building at the fairgrounds. At the senior center, table and Wii games will be available throughout the day. Jaylen Van Nice, York County Junior Miss Agriculture USA Queen, will present a program on "Where Food Comes From" at 10:30 a.m. After lunch, Doug will be available to assist with computer issues. The pinochle group will meet at noon. The second Diabetes Class will begin at 1 p.m.
