The Elizabethtown Area Senior Center, located in the GEARS Community Center, 70 S. Poplar St., Elizabethtown, invites area seniors to its upcoming programs. The center, a service of GEARS and the Lancaster County Office of Aging, is open regularly on Mondays through Fridays. On Thursday, June 27, activities will include walking at 9 a.m., Healthy Steps for Older Adults at 10 a.m., and Reminisce - George Burns at 10 a.m. Lunch will be stuffed pepper with tomato sauce, garlic whipped potatoes, coin carrots, a dinner roll, and strawberry shortcake.
Activities on Friday, June 28, will include walking outside at 9 a.m., Bible study or table games at 10 a.m., Spotted Lantern Fly Awareness at 11 a.m., and the T.G.I.F. dinner and bingo at 5 p.m. Lunch will be roast beef and dumplings, creamy coleslaw, a whole grain biscuit, and sliced peaches.
The schedule on Monday, July 1, will include walking at 9 a.m., laddergolf at 9:30 a.m., I Love America at 10:30 a.m., and pinochle at 12:30 p.m. Lunch will be spinach and artichoke chicken, bowtie pasta, mixed vegetables, wheat bread, and mandarin oranges.
On Tuesday, July 2, the center will offer walking at 9 a.m., a morning stretch at 9:30 a.m., musical entertainment at 10:30 a.m., and current events at 1 p.m. Lunch will be sweet and sour meatballs, brown rice, creamy coleslaw, wheat bread and mixed fruit.
Activities on Wednesday July 3, will include walking at 9 a.m., chair exercise at 9:30 a.m., Wii bowling at 10 a.m., and Bingo for Bucks at 1:30 p.m. Lunch will be a pulled pork sandwich, potato salad, baked beans, and watermelon.
