Senior Center Sets Activities

Delta Senior Center, 5 Pendyrus Street, Delta, has posted its schedule of upcoming activities. For more information, readers may call 717-456-5753.

On Thursday, May 30, Sequence will be played at 9 a.m. Wii Bowling will also begin at 9 a.m. The center will offer a flag craft at 9:30 a.m. Elva Hurst will present a Chalk Talk at 10:20 a.m., and everyone is welcome to attend. Pinochle will be played at 1 p.m.

On Friday, May 31, the Big Breakfast will be served from 8 to 9 a.m. Bingo will be played from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., and pickleball and cornhole will also start at 9:30 a.m. Cribbage will be played from 10 a.m. to noon. A board meeting and a session of light exercise will both begin at 11 a.m. The Challenge will be at 12:30 p.m., and the book club will meet at 1 p.m.

On Monday June 3, dominoes and Wii Bowling will both begin at 9 a.m. A Bible study will take place at 10 a.m. Light exercise will take place at 11 a.m. Afternoon and evening activities will include the Challenge at 12:30 p.m., the crochet class from 1 to 3 p.m., and pinochle at 7:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, June 4, bingo will be played from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Fruit and vegetable vouchers will be distributed from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Pickleball and cornhole will be played at 9:30 a.m. Haircuts will be available at 10 a.m. for those who have made appointments. Blood pressure checks will be available from 10 to 10:30 a.m. The Millionaire game will begin at 12:30 p.m., and the Phase 10 card game will be played from 1 to 3 p.m.

On Wednesday, June 5, a staff member from Rep. Stan Saylor's office will be at the center from 9 to 11 a.m. Dominoes will be played at 9 a.m. A group will meet at the Red Lion bowling alley at 9 a.m., and Wii Bowling will start at the senior center at 9:30 a.m. The York County commissioners will hold a meeting at Delta Senior Center at 10 a.m.; the public is invited to attend. The center's other activities will include the Challenge at 12:30 p.m. and the Quilts of Valor meeting at 6 p.m.
