On Friday, Aug. 2, at 12:30 p.m., the "Experiencing God" Bible study will continue. The Great Courses video series regarding the Old Testament will continue on Wednesday, Aug. 7, at 10:30 a.m. with a lecture about Isaac.
The scrapbooking group will meet on Thursday, Aug. 8. Materials will be provided. Attendees may bring their photos and scrapbooks.
The Lunch Bunch will go to Cracker Barrel at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 9. The group is open to anyone, and attendees will only pay for their meal and tips. The group will carpool from the center. Those who need a ride are asked to sign up.
On Aug. 9 from approximately 1 to 3 p.m., an Apollo 11 documentary will be shown on the big screen. This year marks the 50th anniversary of this historic event.
The Fit N Fun exercise program is offered daily from 10 to 10:30 a.m. There are dancing classes on Wednesdays, with exercise games on select Fridays. Other activities include the Healthy Steps routine for balance and strength and HasFit and Growing Young routines for cardio and general health benefits.
The senior center also offers a Tang Soo Do class, and new students of all ages are welcome.
Games are played throughout the week. Bingo is played on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12:45 p.m., with the first card free, and on Wednesdays for all cash as a fundraiser, with doors opening at 5 p.m. and bingo starting at 6:30 p.m. The center offers shuffleboard on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9 to 11 a.m., and additional players are being sought. All are welcome to play or watch. Board games, cards and jigsaw puzzles are also available.
