The senior center will offer exercising (dancing) to music at 10 a.m. on Wednesdays, Sept. 18 and 25. Participants will practice some old and new dances.
The monthly planning meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 19, at 10:30 a.m. The public is invited to participate in making suggestions and sharing ideas.
The Fit 'N' Fun activity on Friday, Sept. 20, at 10 a.m. will be exercise bingo.
On Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 9 to 11 a.m., there will be an opportunity to make several different Christmas items that will be given to home-delivered meal clients for Christmas.
The scrapbooking class will continue on Thursday, Sept. 26, at 10:30 a.m. Papers, stickers, die cuts, and more will be provided. Everyone is welcome to participate, and experience is not necessary.
A meeting to discuss the 2020 cruise will take place on Friday, Sept. 27, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. The movie "Beaches" will be shown at 1 p.m.
The senior center will hold a night out at Hoss's on White Street in York as a fundraiser on Friday, Nov. 8. In preparation for the event, the center is selling gift cards, which will be ordered no later than Monday, Nov. 4, in time for buyers to use for the November event. The center will receive a portion of the proceeds from gift card sales; funds will be used to help provide programs for seniors. Readers may call Marie at the center for more information.
Games are played throughout the week. Shuffleboard is played on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9 to 11 a.m., and new players are being sought. All are welcome to play or watch.
The bridge club meets on Fridays at 10:30 a.m. Pinochle is played on Mondays from 1 to 3 p.m., with 500 bid and canasta on Wednesdays from 1 to 4 p.m.
Bingo is played on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12:45 p.m., with the first card free, and on Wednesdays for all cash as a fundraiser, with doors opening at 5 p.m. and bingo starting at 6:30 p.m. Board games, cards, and jigsaw puzzles are also available.
