Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 2523 Pine Grove Road, York, will celebrate its 150th anniversary with several special services throughout the year. The first of these services will be held Sunday, June 2, at 10 a.m. This service will honor the daughter and sons of the congregation who were sent out to serve as pastors.
The pastors include Edward Alwine, Dan Chronister, Richard Coffeen, Rusty Glace, Beth Holtz, and Vernon Shenberger. Not all these pastors are able to attend; however, Pine Grove will host Chronister, Holtz and Shenberger. They will each share a little of their life's journey to ministry.
Everyone is invited to attend, especially those people who have worshiped at Pine Grove during the years that these pastors have been part of the Pine Grove family. There will be a small reception, including light refreshments, after the service. For more information, readers may call 717-741-1370.
