Pod 2 at Rock Lititz invites the community to its annual Shock the Block, an evening of Halloween fun for all ages, on Thursday, Oct. 24, from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
The event will include more than two dozen activities, including trick-or-treating, themed scenes and interactive games, children's crafts, and demonstrations by the Dutchland Derby Rollers team. The Shock Zone, produced by professional scenic artists, will feature interactive scenes, sounds and special effects.
New this year will be prizes in Lititz Bikeworks' pumpkin patch, where children can win discount coupons, a bike helmet, or a new bike. The event will also include hayrides, unicorn hugs, a bounce house, a balloon artist, and free cotton candy. Food and beverages will be available for purchase on-site at Gravie Kitchen + Commons and Fetish Brewing Company.
Advance tickets will be discounted and are available by searching for "Shock the Block" at http://www.eventbrite.com. Children under age 2 will be admitted for free. Proceeds will benefit the Warwick Education Foundation. Last year's event raised more than $10,000.
Located at 201 Rock Lititz Blvd., Pod 2 is a 250,000-square-foot collaborative community of 29 companies that serve the live event industry and the community at large. It includes a restaurant, a climbing gym, a bike shop, a yoga studio, a music shop and a craft distillery.
