Shoe Drive Benefits Social Enterprise Program

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage offices throughout central Pennsylvania recently collected a total of 2,327 pairs of new and gently used shoes for Soles4Souls. Soles4Souls is a nonprofit social enterprise that aims to create sustainable jobs and provide relief through the distribution of shoes and clothing around the world. This was Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage's first shoe collection for the nonprofit.

The offices with the largest collections include Harrisburg, 498 pairs; York, 285 pairs; Lancaster, 270 pairs; Kutztown and Wyomissing, 240 pairs; and Carlisle, 236 pairs. The offices in Camp Hill, Chambersburg, Dillsburg, Greencastle, Hershey, Lebanon, New Bloomfield and Waynesboro also contributed to the success of the shoe collection.

Shoes donated to the Soles4Souls micro-enterprise program offer the opportunity for people all over the world to create small businesses selling shoes and clothing. This is a sustainable way for those without a traditional job or training to lift themselves and their families out of poverty.
