Smokeout Events Scheduled

LG Health will participate in the Great American Smokeout on Thursday, Nov. 21. This nationally recognized day, sponsored by the American Cancer Society, encourages people to become or remain tobacco and nicotine free. LG Health has expanded the day to include any device that delivers nicotine, including electronic nicotine delivery devices (ENDS), such as e-cigarettes and vaping devices.

LG Health, in partnership with Lancaster Health Center and Lancaster Housing Authority, will host an event on Nov. 21 from 4 to 7 p.m. at San Juan Bautista Church, 425 S. Duke St., Lancaster. The event will include materials and resources available to help anyone who is interested in starting their journey to a tobacco- or nicotine-free life. The public is invited to the free event. Food, music, games, and prizes will be available.

Another event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 21 at the LG Health Suburban Pavilion, 2100 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster. Participants may spin the prize wheel and learn more about nicotine addiction. A variety of resources will be available for individuals interested in quitting.

LG Health encourages businesses and organizations to learn more about quitting and provide resources and support for anyone trying to quit or reduce their use of nicotine.
