SNHA Will Host Listening Session

Susquehanna National Heritage Area (SNHA) will host a Management Plan Listening Session on Tuesday, Nov. 9, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. A second session will take place on Monday, Nov. 15, from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Mark Platts, SNHA president, will join Jonathan Pinkerton, SNHA vice president, and Elizabeth Watson, principal planner for Heritage Strategies and the consulting team's leader, to explain the SNHA's planning requirements, the opportunities this new designation of its 20-year-old heritage area now presents, and the role SNHA can play in the years ahead. Feedback about the direction and content of the Management Plan is sought from the community.

Individuals interested in telling the stories of the SNHA - recognized as America's 55th National Heritage Area as of March 2019 - and in working for the protection and public appreciation of the natural, cultural, historic, scenic, and recreational resources in Lancaster and York counties are invited to participate.
