The girls' soccer teams of Manheim Central and Ephrata high schools joined together for Red Card Cancer Night on Oct. 1.
The game took place at Elden Rettew Stadium in Manheim. Players and coaches, as well as many parents, wore special Red Card Cancer warm-up shirts prior to the game.
Donations were collected throughout the evening to support the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Research Center. Each person who made a donation was entered into a drawing for prizes donated by local businesses. The event raised a total of $1,073.
