The Solanco School District has announced several scholarship opportunities for Solanco seniors. The Solanco community funds many scholarships for Solanco seniors who plan to continue their education beyond high school. Scholarship applications can be accessed through Schoology through Wednesday, March 31.
The Solanco Education Foundation will award several $1,000 scholarships to Solanco seniors. The scholarships include the Futures Scholarship, which will be awarded to one or more graduating seniors whose parents or guardians did not attend a college or university, and the Opportunity Scholarship, which will be awarded to one or more graduating seniors who may not meet typical scholarship criteria and who have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 to 3.2. Additionally, $1,000 Solanco Education Foundation Scholarships will be presented to graduating seniors who have achieved average or better class standing and scholastic ability; who demonstrate good character, leadership and moral standards; and who have been involved in school and community activities.
