Colin and Becca Buffington, who are stepping into their second year of serving as missionaries in the western region of Honduras, will benefit from a spaghetti dinner at Wesley Church, 1104 Kirkwood Pike, Quarryville, on Sunday, Nov. 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. Dine-in and takeout options will be available. Service will stop at 6:45 p.m., but takeouts will be available until 7 p.m. The Buffingtons will help to serve the meal.
The Buffingtons serve alongside of Legacy of Hope Foundation and work to provide provide practical, sustainable, and holistic family-based solutions to orphan care in Honduras. Legacy of Hope works with DINAF, Honduras' CPS organization, in identifying and providing safe and loving families for abandoned babies and children in crisis.
Additionally, Colin has implemented a coffee program where 100% of sales are directed toward sustaining and expanding Legacy of Hope's current programs. Becca has helped establish and maintain an inventory system of all clothing, supplies, and consumables that the ministry uses within a year's time.
Together, the Buffingtons provide respite care for foster families, crisis care staff, and the foundation's transition house mothers. Within the next few months, Colin and Becca plan to open their home to foster children as well.
